ABSTRACT
Throughout this brief study about the biography of the tunisian rapper Thamer Malki , we will try to show how the hip-hop movement contributed in shaping the social identity of this young man, and what are the social circumstances that made hip-hop, as a counterculture , becomes a shelter from the different forms of marginalisation and exclusion . we will aslo shed the light on the process thatmade this particular movement a tool to break the social invisibility and a way ofprotest .Then we will try to highlight the main issues in his songs through the thematic analysis of the passages he wrote , recorded and published in the social media.
