FTDES’s Tunisian Social Observatory (OST) has been active in documenting protests across the country since the year 2014/2015. Throughout the years, a lot of socio-political dynamics, external factors and resources influenced the observatory’s work and methods in collecting, archiving and sharing data about the protests. This Dashboard serves as an overview analysis of the trends in protest movements observed by the OST in the past 10 years of FTDES’s work. It provides a holistic perception and understanding of all the changes and tendency shifts in the past decade, with respect to specific variables. View methodology and glossary at the end of the page.
Note: Not all OST variables are present in the dashboard, depending on the structured data availability since 2015. You may visualize further variables in our monthly and quarterly digital reports.
For a more open-data approach, OST is providing space to access the Archive’s protests data through tailored requests. If you are an individual or an entity, interested in the data behind this archive, please feel the request box below and we’ll be in touch after reviewing it.
